Tour Description

You will start the tour by a visit to the lovely Al Azhar mosque, more than thousand years old building! It was built 972 AD in the new capital, Cairo, thus it is the oldest mosque in Cairo. the mosque slowly developed into what is today the second oldest continuously run university in the world after Al Karaouine in Tunisia. Then you are going to explore the narrow streets, alleyways & lanes full of astonishing ancient architecture, walking into its historical charm, you will visit the Old gates of the City; Bab Al-Futuh and Bab Zuwaila and Al Muizz road that links it. Then you are going to stop at one of its old Mosques; Ibn Toulon, followed by a visit to Gayer Anderson Museum, a typical old house well preserved then back to the world famous Khan El Khalili Bazaars with its crafts & souvenirs shops and special street cafes.
